"Cherished Mother and Grandmother"

Asheville, Linda Gail Johnson Yarborough, 72, passed away on Friday, May 25, 2018 at St. Joseph Hospital.

A native of Haywood County, she was the daughter of the late Grady and Daisy Leatherwood Johnson. Linda loved spending time with her family especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed camping in earlier years. Linda loved reading her bible. She was involved in Scouting and other children's activities.

Linda is survived by her daughter, Anita Moore, of Waynesville; three sons, Willard "Junior" Yarborough, and his wife, Teresa, of Kings Mountain, James Yarborough, and his wife, Tina, of Tiger, Georgia and Mark Yarborough, and his wife Dorra, of Waynesville; first cousin, Robert Leatherwood; ten grandchildren, Chisa Rogerson, Kyla Moore Raines, and her husband, Ethan, Noah Moore, Heather Yarborough, and her husband, Devin Thompson, Caleb Yarborough, Derick Ledbetter, Levi Ledbetter, and his wife, Jaime, Olivia Yarborough, Tahaylee Yarborough and Avery Yarborough; ten great-grandchildren, Siobhan Rogerson, Jimi Rogerson, Zaydien Messer, Kiyah Thompson, Karter Thompson, Colton Ledbetter, Candace Cambron, Hailey Davis, Ashlynn Davis and Kayla Davis .

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 31, 2018 at Jonathan Valley Baptist Church with Reverend Bobby Downs officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the church.
